Professionally I have worked and am still working as an engineering geologist, GIS (geographic information systems) expert and a certified hiking guide. Due to my professional background I spend a lot of time outdoors and in the mountains. My numerous journeys and multiple years working and living abroad have given me the privilege to enjoy the unique beauty of many countries and regions.
My native country is Austria and after many years abroad I have returned to this part of the world some years ago and am living in Graz, the second-largest city of Austria. Having my home base here allows me to spend my free time exploring and discovering the magnificent landscapes of Austria.
As a hiking guide I am member of the “Bergwanderführerverband Steiermark” in Austria and I am allowed to offer and lead hiking tours in the summer and snow shoeing tours in the winter.
Additionally, I am a certified mind trainer/mental training coach and offer workshops, which deal with the development and training of thought changing methods that allow us to counteract efficiently when confronted with burn-out, stress, difficult emotions, challenging interactions with others as well as develop efficient techniques to achieve set goals and accomplish sustainable change on a professional as well as private level.
My motivation to offer what you can find on this website lies in my desire to share my passion for nature, its evolution, its energy and beauty with others. Furthermore it is important to me that I can convey to my clients how the landscape before them has formed and what secrets nature holds as well as give them the knowledge and means to find their way through mountain terrain – even if they are complete mountain novices.
As a mind trainer/mental training coach my desire is to share the numerous methods and techniques that we can use consciously to change our attitude towards situations, life events, other people and most of all ourselves – to be able to live a fulfilled life. My motto in this regard is: “Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no trouble, noise and hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” (Unknown)
